Drumnigh  Montessori Primary School (DMPS) offers parents an alternative choice in primary education for their children. As primary education in Ireland has been under constant pressure over the past number of years, Irish parents have a higher degree of consciousness than ever. The conventional state National School has been forced to look and develop its approach to education with respect to Religous Status, Multi-Cultural Integration, Teacher:Pupil ratios and Special Needs among others. Boards of Management are now the norm, taking over the day to day running of schools, facilities and fundraising.
 
    At Drumnigh we have been very much to the fore in these areas. We have consistantly provided an open environment dedicated to the Education of Children. Our small class sizes with a strong emphasis on the individual needs of each child plus an open and accepting policy on children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds has proved a very successful formula.
